Comparing two emails before event trigger

First of all, I am very impressed with Response Mailer. I do, however, have a unique request.

We receive an email from a third party when an applicant begins our online application. This email includes the applicant's email contact info.

We receive a second email when that same applicant successfully completes the online application. We would like to send an automatic email to applicants who start an application but never successfully complete it.

In other words, we would like to send an email to those prospects that only receive the first email and not the second after a period of time passes like say 3 or more days.

Is there a way for Response Mailer to do this?
