How to setup the program to work with Google Gmail

I would like to use the program with my Gmail accounts.
However, it is not reading my google mailbox even though gmail does have pop/smtp access. If you could check into this for me I would greatly appreciate it.

You can retrieve your Gmail messages with Followup Mailer.

1. Enable POP in your Gmail account.
   Please follow these steps, see http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13273
   
2. Configuring POP access in Follow-up mailer.
   Edit your the account.
   Select the 'General' tab.
   Enter 'pop.gmail.com' in the 'Incoming mail' field.
   Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' in the 'Outgoing mail' field.
   Enter your Gmail username (including '@gmail.com') in the 'Login name:' field.
   Enter your Gmail password in the 'Login Password:' field.
   
   Click the 'Outgoing Servers' tab, and check the box next to 'My server requires authentication.' and select 'Use same settings as my incoming POP3 mail server'.
   Enter '995' in the 'POP3 Server Port Number' field. Check the box next to 'Requires SSL connection'.
   Enter '465' in the 'STMP Server Port Number' field. Check the box next to 'Requires SSL connection'.
   
   Click 'OK'
