I am not sure how to specify the schedule for the follow-up messages I want to send out.

Solution
Follow-up Mailer works on the interval between delivery of follow ups.
To correctly deliver the messages, you must place the messages in the proper order and specify the delay time for each message.
Note: Message will be sent when the time period has elasped since the delivery of the last message to the prospect.

Here's an example of how you could you use it with a lead-generating "FREE EBook":

• 0 Hour: The recipient signs up and immediately receives your auto responder FREE EBook.
  
• 4 Days: Four days after the recipient signs up, have Followup Mailer send them a reminder message that asks them if they have had a chance to read the EBook.
  
• 3 Days: Three days later, have Followup Mailer send a message that shows your recipients how your product relates to the information in the EBook.
  
• 4 Days: Four days later (on the eleventh day), have Followup Mailer send the recipient instructions on ordering your product.
  

So, if Mary signs up for your Free EBook on Monday, she'll receive the EBook that day. She'll then receive follow up letters on Friday, Monday and the following Friday.
