Jan 2, 2004 -- Devicode Technology, today released Backup Mate 2.0, backup and disaster recovery software. Major new features include: directory and file synchronization, email notification on the success or failure of a backup, differential backup, and zip file format support.

Backup Mate provides the ability to backup and restore your valuable data files with minimal effort. The updated interface makes it easy to create backup schedules to regular backup your files. This version introduced the capability to perform differential backup on a daily basis and full backup on a periodic basis. Using this method speeds the overall backup process while shortening the overall recovery time for end-users protecting very number of files. To recover, you only need to restore the last full backup and the last differential to accomplish a complete recovery.
